What we're building toward

Community Wellness Pilot

GrowKind is developing a small wellness pilot exploring how guided strength training and intimate community experiences can help older adults feel more confident, connected, and supported as they age. We're currently in the early planning stages and looking for the right partners and participants to help shape it.

Get involved

We work our whole lives, and then what?

"We spend decades building careers. Then we retire and wonder where everyone went."

Loneliness doesn't care how much money you have or how full your calendar looks. It quietly settles in when the structure disappears. For a lot of people, that happens right around retirement. GrowKind Co. exists because joy and community shouldn't be something you age out of.

Money doesn't fix it.
But showing up somewhere fun, with good people, just might.
Suong, Founder of GrowKind Co.

Hi, I'm Suong.

I'm a Belmont local, by way of Austin, TX and Santa Clara, and I'm still figuring out what home looks like. Austin gave me vibrancy and heat. California gave me my people. I'm somewhere in between, looking for the balance. Which is maybe why building community feels so personal to me.

For years I planned large-scale team-building events and corporate farmers' markets — bringing access to good vendors, good food, and a little breathing room into workplaces where people needed it. I learned a lot about what it takes to make people feel welcome in a room full of strangers.

GrowKind Co. started with a frustration. I couldn't stop thinking about how many people spend their entire working lives grinding toward a retirement that, too often, ends up feeling small and lonely. How can we ask older generations to show up for the world if the world stopped showing up for them?

How can we ask older generations to show up for the world if the world stopped showing up for them? So I'm starting here, with small, joyful mornings for people who are ready for something new. I started with seniors not because everyone else is excluded, but because you have the time, the wisdom, and frankly, the most to gain from a bigger community. And honestly? I think I have the most to learn from you.

I care a lot. Probably too much. But that's kind of the whole point.

How it works

Simple. Small. Real.

01
Reserve your spot
Drop your email below. Events are capped at 15 people so everyone actually meets. You'll hear from me directly with details.
02
Show up (that's the hardest part)
Come as you are. We start with mingling, move into games, and close with music.
03
Leave with people you actually like
That's the goal. Not a networking event, not a class. Just a genuinely good morning that you'll talk about later.

The bigger picture

This is just the beginning.

Long term, GrowKind Co. is about more than mornings in Belmont. I want to build a community that crosses zip codes, generations, and income levels, connecting city and rural, young and old, familiar and new. Here's what's on the horizon:

Field trips to rural farms Bringing rural makers to the city Subsidized spots for seniors in need Intergenerational events Partnerships with local health centers Community garden days
